Embroidery

After finding that I needed the odd break from painting, I remembered that I’d been meaning to give stumpwork embroidery a go.  It turned out that I found working with needle and thread a most enjoyable process and I love coming up with new techniques and figuring out how I would create something from nature in embroidery.

My stumpwork embroideries are inspired from time spent in the countryside surrounded by nature and wildlife.  You can see more of them in my gallery.
